In 2020 our practice continues to train the next generation of General Practitioners. This year Dr Tristan Shirlaw joins our Pivotal Health team to master the skills of general practice and be guided by our experienced team.
Tristan has particular interests in palliative care, chronic disease management, and dermatology. He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2016 after completing a dual degree in Medicine & Surgery, and Biomedical Science, and then spent the following three years working at the Logan Hospital, with time in almost every speciality that the hospital offers to ensure a broad range of experience.
Tristan is Brisbane born and raised, and follows the family trade with both parents also working as GPs in the South-East region, and an extended family that heavily features nurses, midwifes and medical imaging specialists. Outside of work, he spends his free time in constant battle to defend his ever-expanding and almost entirely edible pot-plant garden against caterpillars and other voracious insects.
