Cortisone injections to joints such as the shoulder and knee can be a highly effective treatment for many different arthritic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and gout. Even small joints of the hands are often amenable to this effective treatment.
Certain joint injections can be performed in the practice however complex injections that need to be performed under CT or ultrasound will be referred off. It is best to discuss treatment options with your GP.
